Alternative Make-up For Green Eyes

I could rant and rave for hours about the technicalities of creating perfect complimentary make-up looks for green eyes, but I won’t bore you to death.

Here’s the basics…

-Green is the rarest eye colour of all and have such a wide variety of eye make-up colours to choose from.

-Great colours to work with are many different shades of green, browns, turqouise, coppers, golds, apricots, pinks, purples, plums!

-Avoid blue and silver eyeshadows at all costs! (And any pinks or purples with blue undertones).

-If your here for alternative make-up (good for you!), scrap what I just told you and eliminate the “poo browns”, “boring coppers”, “tacky golds”, “cacky apricots” and “grandma plums”! This now leaves us with a delicious array of greens, turqouises, pinks and purples! Woo hoooooo!

-If your going for a super edgy alternative look, apple green, acid green and fluoro green can look amazing if done correctly! Usually looks hell mad paired with red lippy!

-Turquoise, always looks great, but avoid the ones with blue undertones.

-Purple… This is on the opposite end of the colour wheel, therefore it is the green-eyed queens complimentary colour. Purple makes green eyes POP!

-Pink- Think hot Barbie pinks and fuschias! Teamed with blacker than black liner and lashes. Maybe a couple of rhinestones. Sure to knock ‘em dead!

-Or seeing as though all make-up colour rules have just about gone out the window, perhaps try 2 or 3 of these colours together!

Stay tuned for my green-eyed tutorials coming REAL soon!

Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoo Review

Known about these for a while and always wanted to try them.

They’re called “Violent Lips” and come in many designs and colours.

If you live in Australia, they’re available from Priceline for $14.95 for a pack of three.

My first attempt was a disaster. I cut them by following their cutting guide and awkwardly applied them.

One word- TERRIBLE! I looked ridiculous. I then decided I was not a fan.

The next day I decided to give them another shot, but this time ignoring the little warning telling me not to cut the top section. Well, let me assure you, if they dont seem to fit when you hold them up to your lips, cut that top lip line ‘til your hearts content! Just be sure to trim tiny bits off at a time.

The first few times you use them can be a bit tricky, but once you’ve mastered it, they look amazing!

I am most definately a fan!

They feel a bit strange on your lips at first, but a little lip balm to soften them up helps a lot.
